The product, in the report: Centerpoint Amped 425
I purchased a Centerpoint Amped 425 Crossbow, I took it out to sight it in and on the 3rd shot the right string silencer come disconnected from the string sending the bolt flying erratically through the air. I immediately contacted Centerpoint Archery Customer service. After waiting 5 days on a response they told me to take the Crossbow to Sportsmans Warehouse in Morgantown Wv as they are one of their certified repair centers. They reinserted the string silencer and told me that the string silencer was not installed correctly from the manufacturer. So back to the range I go. Started sighting in the Crossbow on the 5th shot the string silencer on the left side come out this time not only sending the Crossbow bolt flying erratically, striking a parked vehicle and this time the string frayed. I again contacted customer support and they tell me that the string is not covered under thier warranty and there was nothing they could do and will not respond to my emails. I took the crossbow back to Sportsman Warehouse where they inspected the Crossbow deeming it not only unsafe to shoot but unsafe to be in the proximity of the Crossbow itself as the string could break the rest of the way at any time. And that there has to be a manufacturer flaw in this specific model. Upon. Checking reviews I see this is a very common issue that Centerpoint Archery will not stand behind

Hurt, no treatment Made Mar 20, 2022, sent to the company Mar 22, 2022, published by CPSC Apr 5, 2022
The product, in the report: AXCCRANK crossbow crank for Sniper 370
I purchased the AXCCRANK for my Sniper 370 crossbow after no more than a few cranks the mounting bracket broke when at almost full crank. The crank spun out of control and the bow string released. The crank Handel spun out of control into my finger and then into my thigh causing brusing. Also damaging my saftey release switch and scope. I contacted centerpoint who told me to send them the crank and my crossbow. After they reviewed the malfunction they agreed it was faulty. They agreed to fix my crossbow and return it ..and then sent me some items of goodwill including an upgraded crossbow as a goodwill gesture but they refuse to send me back my original crossbow. This goodwill items arrived in badly damaged box and i had to get a professional to pice together the crossbow they sent as goodwill as the box and inner boxes were badly damaged. I reported this and thats when Centerpoint blamed eveveryone else for the faulty crank, stating i misused it, it was a roping issue and that it was the carrier who also damaged the internal pacaging boxes .. [REDACTED] from centerpoint is rude and after agreeing to pay for my out of pocket expenses then tried to backmail me and said he would only send payment if i agreed that this matter was closed. I refused as i wanted my original crossbow back. Centerpoint now refuses to resolve this matter or refund me for my out of pocket costs due to thier damaged packaging.. this company will see no further business from me. I even emailed the CEO and no action was taken. [REDACTED] is rude, lies and has no customer service skills. [REDACTED] refuses to return my crossbow. It’s sad that a company of this stature cannot do the right thing and be the bigger person.

The product, in the report: Centerpoint Archery Power Draw crank cocking device model no.AXCCRANK
After waiting for more than a year I finally was able to acquire a crank cocking device for my sniper 370 crossbow. After no more than 3 dozen times using it to cock my crossbow the rope section of the device broke at about 3/4 of the travel. The sled portion damaged my crossbow and the serving on the bow string. Fortunately no one was injured. The device was poorly designed and was almost impossible to remove from the string after cocking. I was able to adjust the leading edge of it to a slight bevel ad made it easier to remove. The manufacturer obviously did not do any field trials with it before releasing it to the public. The cord on it is also undersized and failed during normal use. I recommend removing it from public sales and replacing units already sold with an improved version that can withstand the heavy draw weights of crossbows. A device should be designed to be able to handle at least 50% more stress than normal draw weights.
