The product, in the report: Step2 four seasons playhouse green roof, brown sides, yellow door. Red table top with two seats on either side model number is 744300

We received a step2 “four seasons” play house in used condition from friends on a Saturday, I hosed it down as it was covered in dirt and cobwebs and left it to dry. My children played with it all day on Sunday and on Monday morning without incident. Monday afternoon I took my children outside, within 5 minutes of being outside my 2 youngest started crying (one was still inside the playhouse) I went to them and saw that they had severe burns on their arms. There was a type of mucus coming out of the side of the playhouse, where the top is connected with the bottom. It is the consistency and color of [REDACTED], and seems to react to sunlight/warm temps. They were taken immediately to their pediatrician who informed us it looked like chemical burns. I did contact the step2 company and was informed that there was nothing they could do. The toy was not cleaned with any kind of chemicals or stored anywhere near chemicals of any sort. It is still unknown what this substance is but it is certainly coming out of the playhouse. It is now a week after the incident and it is still coming out. We are unsure as to what to do at this point.
