Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: sportpower LIMITED 14 ft round sport power trampol ine Model TR168NSF

I purchased a trampoline for my grandchildren for Christmas back in November 2019 from Walmart My plans was to put it up in may when they got out of school but due to Covid 19 we put it up in April. After the kids started to jump on it the rings that hold the mat in place started to come off making it where there was a hold between the mat and rail. I call Walmart and they said that it was passed the return policy time limited. They gave me the number to Sport power I have called them and left several message they never return my calls. My grandson and grand daughter was on the trampoline the other day and the pole split in half leaving my grandson leg bruise and starch up. This trampoline have been up for only two months and there are real issue going on with it . My two year niece was on it and she fell through the hold because the spring pops off of the trampoline.

The product, in the report: Sports power 14’ trampoline and enclosure

On 7/16/2012, I purchased a Sportspower 14’ Trampoline and Safety Enclosure. I set it up a month later according to the directions. I have been vigilant about monitoring the use and ave a desire that only 1 peron has jumped at a time. I was never made aware of ny product recall. In May 2013, my daughter who was 11 and 80 lbs at the time was bouncing when I watched as she bounced and 6 of the nylon loops tore off and she fell to the ground. I thought it wa very odd that something should go wrong so soon but I waited till the summer was over and ordered a replacemt trampoline mat. I installed the mat yesterday and reattached the enclosure. Today the same daughter, who is now 12 and 90 lbs was bouncing and safer approximately 20 minutes fell into the sce of the enclosure which tore horizontally 1/2 way between the top of the nclosure and where it meets the trampoline pad. My daughter fell off the side onto the corner of a cement patio. This afternoon I googled the enclosure to see where I could find a replacement ad found the recall notice. I am completely horrified to think of wat I’d ave happened

The kids are jumping on it and 4 to 5 springs will break in a small area of the Trampoline right in a row. The springs will spring off and I’m concerned the they will hit the kids. The item is less then tow years old and with this many straps braking in one small area at one time I believe there is a issues with the mat.

The product, in the report: Sportspower 14’ Trampoline and Safety Enclosure

We bought the Sportspower 14’ Trampoline and Safety Enclosure from Walmart.com in July 2012, though it was not assembled until August 2012. Because it was purchased online, with in-store pick-up, they had all my contact information.

I just learned today that the trampoline was recalled in January. I am very upset that I was not contacted to tell me that the trampoline was recalled. If Sportspower and Walmart would have worked together it would have been easy for them to contact me.

Today my 11-year old son and 2 neighbors were playing on the trampoline. My son fell against the net and it tore - a huge tear (30 inches high and 6 feet wide). My son fell out and hit his head and shoulder on the fence before falling to the ground.

We are very lucky that he was not severely injured. He is fine, though possibly bruised.

There was NO sign that the net was weakening in any way prior to the tear.

The product, in the report: trampoline enclosure

We purchased our first trampoline with enclosure from Wal-Mart in December 2010. Within 6 months our 11-year-old daughter fell through the net enclosure as described in the recall. When I called and explained that we had owned the product for only 6 months we were told that the netting could have torn due to weathering, but the company would replace it this one time. Afterwards we were sent another enclosure exactly like the first one. Within 8 months of receiving that one the same thing happened and my daughter fell through the netting again and hit the ground along with a visiting friend that was on the trampoline with her. I have since tried to find the netting to purchase another one because I have a three-year-old that requires an enclosure. I visited Wal-Mart to get the name brand of the trampoline we had purchased to find a poster hanging in its place warning people of the recall and the product’s hazard. Apparently, there is a little more than weathering to be considered and more like poor quality. Now, my question is, what do I do about an enclosure for the trampoline that I am stuck with?

We own a sports power brand swing set Jump N Swing model sold by Kmart. We’ve had it set up for about a year and a half and the foam padding on the swing set legs has degenerated to the point that they are no longer there and the material that holds the springs from the trampoline to the frame has become so weak that it recently started breaking, sending the springs flying! When the springs went flying my son’s leg went through the side part of the trampoline banging his leg on the frame and his foot hit the ground hard. I can no longer let my kids play on this part of the swing set since one spring almost hit me and my four month old baby in the face, not to mention they could fall through at any point. My kids only weigh 35 and 27 lbs so well under the 50 lb per child weight limit set by the manufacturer.

My granddaughter was jumping on the Sportspower BouncePro 14’ Trampoline I bought in November of 2010 yesterday with my two other granddaughters. All three girls are under the age of 12 and are small. They were all bouncing normally when my smallest granddaughter who is only 33lbs and is only 3 1/2 years old bounced against the netting and flew right through it. She fell to the ground and slammed her shoulder into the metal leg of the trampoline. Luckily the fall only caused her pain in her shoulder and did not seriously injure her but it did terrify her and both me and her grandfather who saw the entire incident. We have already contacted the company about getting new netting but were very surprised we had not heard news of this recall until after this happened and our daughter did online research. We’re concerned that many others who own these trampolines have no idea of how dangerous this is.

we had purchased a sportspower 12’ trampoline from walmart about a year and a half ago. a week ago, my step son and daughter were jumping on it as normal when suddenly my step son lost his balance and leaned into the net. the net immediately gave way ripping nearly in half. he tumbled to the ground, which were we live is not soft. he only suffered scrapes and bruises, thank heavens, but had my youngest child been on there, there could have been serious and probably permanent damage done. i just want to make sure the incident was recorded. The product, in the report: This trampoline is a bouncepro sportspower that has a 14 foot sized mat, which is black. It came with a steel flex metal ring enclosure frame and net and has a flash zone. It was one of the Black Friday specials at Wal-Mart.

My boys bought this trampoline at the end of November, 2011. It is now only 7 months old. Today one of my sons was outside jumping on it when two of the loops attaching the mat to the spring broke. Thankfully, he was not hurt. However, I think this is extremely dangerous. I understand normal wear-and-tear of anything, including trampolines. But for these vital parts of the trampoline to tear after only 7 months of use is ridiculous, especially considering the seriousness of their function. In addition, when this happened, one of the springs shot hard about 50 feet. This, also, could be very dangerous if a spring were to shoot in the direction of the person on the trampoline or anyone nearby.

My 2.5 y/o son fell out of our trampoline when he landed on the side of the netting and it ripped all around the entire bottom. He suffered a concussion and I took him to the emergency room after he remained sluggish and “out of it” for a period of time and then vomited twice. At the children’s hospital emergency room he was diagnosed with a moderate concussion.

My three daughters, ages 4, 7, 9, were jumping on their trampoline when one of them went through the net. The net ripped in the middle (horizontally). My 4 year old also fell through. They were not seriously injured but easily could have been. Just scrapes and bruises. Flying through a trampoline net is obviously not something to be taken lightly.

The product is a SportsPower TR-6001-168 trampoline. I am aware of a recall on certain products of theirs but this does not seem to be one of them.

The product, in the report: 14ft Sportspower Bounce Pro TR 1463A FLEX trampoline

I bought a 14ft Super power Bouncepro wit model # TR1463A-FLEX the day after Thanksgiving 2010. The net is the same as the other recalled trampoline but the wire at the top of the trampoline is what the company says was “new and improved.” That is not the issue. When my 5 year old fell into the net when it was 4 months old, The net just split and he fell on the ground. I tried repairing the net but unsuccessful because it began tearing apart on all sides. The bars and the trampoline aren’t the issue with this companies trampoline nets. Its the nets on all the trampolines. The material just deteriorates. The need to replace ALL the nets to these trampolines, not just one model. I already forwarded picture s of the trampoline before and after pictures and they blew me off saying that was the improved enclosure. Like I said before its the net not how its hung. Please hold the accountable or their products.

On July 18. 2011, my 13 year old son fell completely through the safety net enclosure of our Sportspower 14 foot trampoline, and as a result hit his head on a cement wall. We have owned this trampoline for less than 1 year and live in California, so it has not even seen a full summer or any extreme weather. Since this happened, I researched online and have seen numerous reports of the netting ripping on this brand of trampoline. We owned a different brand of trampoline and enclosure and had it for over 3 years in Colorado without ever having a single rip or tear in the netting. This product is a safety hazard and should be recalled.
