The product, in the report: Rave sports water trampoline (blue and yellow) with spinning log. It was at a child’s birthday party - we did not own the product
We were at a child’s birthday party at a lake. They had a rave sports water trampoline blue and yellow. It had an additional spinning log attached to it. My son who is four was jumping on the trampoline and went to jump on the log. 1 foot made it to the log and his other foot landed in the space between the log and the trampoline where there are straps attaching the log to the trampoline. The straps twisted and his leg became severely entangled in the straps. He was positioned in a way that it was forcing his head underwater. Fortunately he had a life jacket and is able to swim. He was able to be barely keep his head above water as I jumped in from the shore and swim out to save him. Once out there I could not get his leg untangled. I had a couple children hold him out of the water well I climbed on top of the trampoline and had to untangle him from that area it was very difficult to get him out. He has red marks across his leg 12 hours later. I have photographs. If he was not able to swim or was not wearing a life jacket or if I was not very closely monitoring him, I am certain the results would’ve been drastic. This seems like something that could happen easily at any time to anyone.
