No one hurt Made Dec 7, 2015, sent to the company Dec 15, 2015, published by CPSC Jan 7, 2016
The product, in the report: Sport Design (quality sports since 1975) over-the-door basketball. 19 x 15 backboard, authentic metal rim with net, easily mounts over door (hardware included), realistic mini basketball, Inflating pump and pin. G50212 038805900034 item BB-1915 Made in China Sport Design Inc. NY 11725
I purchased a mini indoor over the door basketball hoop from Ross earlier this year. After installing the screws and over the door brackets, I put it over the door. Shortly thereafter, the heavy metal ring and backboard fell right off the brackets! I checked it again to make sure I didn’t do anything wrong. I again installed it as stated, but it was too wobbly and unsafe to use. The screws are not long enough to hold he item into the brackets. I figured this particular unit was defective, so after a couple months, I bought a new one from Ross. The same thing happened.
I already lost the first receipt and it has been more than 30 days for the second item purchased. I want my money back in full. It is a miracle my kids didn’t get their heads busted open from the heavy metal object falling down! My floor almost cracked!
