Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: LG Kompressor Model LuV200R/00

I purchased a LG Kompressor in February 2011. In June 2011, I contacted LG to tell them of the following issue: after using the sweeper for ~5-10 minutes, the retractable cord begins to retract baack into the machine. Eventually, I have to pull it back out and find that the cord has gotten so hot that it nearly burns my fingers. The sweeper was sent in for repair and promptly returned to me with the note that they couldn’t verify my complaint. After verifying myself that it does indeed happen, another call was placed to LG. Again, it was sent back for service. Again, it was sent back with the attachment fixed (one of several things wrong with this machine) but the cord still not fixed. This overheating cord is obviously a sign of something wrong, and I believe a serious safety issue due to the heat of if when it is pulled back out.
