The product, in the report: Samsung Jet 70 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum (Convertible to Handheld) and all similar products.
I purchased From Lowes in Nov. 2021 a Samsung Jet 70 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum (Convertible to Handheld). After very little use over 13 months of ownership, the motor section of the vacuum fell loose and apart. Exposing my wife to a dangerous moving electric motor blade and internal wiring. Plus; allowing the entire sharp upper surfaces of the motor cover to slice at my wife’s hands. I reported this to Samsung: They said my 1 year warranty was out of date by 2 weeks. I reminded them that I have a 10 year written warranty on the motor. Please provide me with a replacement motor as stated in the Warranty. They refused then did a “Bait & Switch,” denying it was a warranty claim and asking for $199 to repair the vacuum. I went to Lowes for help at their corporate office and local store: Zero help. Regardless of the fact that the vacuum failed in an unsafe manner, and was covered under the 10 year written motor warranty sold to me by Lowes for the Samsung vacuum. Samsung has a long history of “Bait and Switch,” tactics covering their unsafe products. Plus: Lowes: which by selling these devices, is Samsung’s legal agent. Lowe’s is fully responsible for the safe non-defect manufacture of every product they sell. Both, should be heavily fined, Samsung’s vacuum’s should be recalled, and safety notifications should be sent to all of Samsung’s dealers and distributors. Notifying them of this dangerous product, and reminding them of their legal responsibility to not sell defective or unsafe products.
