The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

No one hurt Made Jan 4, 2017, sent to the company Jan 17, 2017, published by CPSC Feb 1, 2017
The product, in the report: Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum
Product in question is the Black and Decker Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum Model No. HHVJ315JD10.
My daughter (7 yo) was using the vacuum to clean up tree needles from the carpet after taking down the Christmas tree. The panel that you take off to empty the vacuum (and which I’ve found to be prone to coming unexpectedly unlatched) came off, and my daughter’s long hair was sucked into the fan area and wound around the motor. Either she somehow managed to turn it off, or it became so jammed that it bound up and shut off before it got as far as pulling against her scalp. She was understandably upset and distressed. I took a photo, if that is ever helpful. I had to dismantle the vacuum, but I managed to get it far enough apart to unwind the motor and extract it from my daughter’s hair without cutting it.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Jan 31, 2013, sent to the company Feb 13, 2013, published by CPSC Mar 8, 2013
The product, in the report: Dust Buster
We purchased a Back&Decker Dust Buster Model CHV1410 and hung it on a wall at a convenient height of approximately 54 in. The hook provided was used, and the included instructions were followed. When the Dust Buster was lightly bumped, it disengaged from its hook and fell on the foot of the user, resulting in a broken bone. Medical treatment, and therapy were required to restore optimal function.
On examination, the hook and it’s mating slot on the Dust Buster do not provide a secure connection. A minimal move from true vertical allows disengagement from the hook, resulting in this incident. This design does not prevent any sideways movement of the Dust Buster in relation to true vertical.
