  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 28, 2012, sent to the company Jan 16, 2013, published by CPSC Jan 31, 2013

The product, in the report: Pink swan jewelry box containing a small necklace for a child. The hardtop flips open and the necklace lays on a cardboard insert glued to the synthetic cloth inside. The board was flipped up from our child and the metal pieces where on the bottom. One was glued and the others slide inbetween to hold them in place. I suspect this is to weigh the bottom of the box down in a cheap way.

We saw our 4 year old boy running around with these thin, sharp metal squares about 1” square in his hand. We asked where he got them from and he said he found them in a pink swan jewelry box that our 6 year old daughter got for Christmas which held a necklace. The inside bottom was pulled up and there were several more of these squares glued to the inside apparently to weigh down the box. Some squares were not glued and easily removed. These squares almost cut me, extremely sharp and all had sharp points. This is really scary that little kids could get hold of these and even possibly choke on these little squares. I can send a picture if needed.

The tag on the bottom is as follows: PON21413 Lot#0512 #LF-SWANBX (bar code) 722950156193 Made in Qingdao, China Dist. by D.M. Merchandising Elmhurst, Illinois 60126
