The product, in the report: Schweppes Tonic Water, six-pack of 16 oz bottle

Greetings, we just had two bottles of 10 oz (296 ml) Schweppes Tonic Water explode spontaneously. We live in Atlanta GA and it was 8:20pm. These two bottles were a set of six I bought five days ago that I placed on the shelf and had not touched since then. I’m not aware of any precedent potential trauma to the bottles, such as movement or shaking since purchase. No environmental cause such as earthquake or or sudden change in temperature within the house. We have emptied the remaining four bottles. The remaining bottles were marked MAY 23 2016, 131ORF08205. There were no injuries. We worked hard to remove all the fine glass shards produced and are hopeful we have contained the risk to pets and household members.
