The product, in the report: Garden of Life (manufacturer), Primal Defense Ultra (probiotic capsules), #180, brown glass bottle
On Sunday, 11 November, 2012, I was opening a new glass bottle of 180 Garden of Life “Primal Defense Ultra” probiotic capsules. The bottle shattered at the neck, just above the label. It cut the meat of my palm, just below my right thumb. Some of the glass splintered into shards. The bottle had been refrigerated at normal refrigerator temperatures prior to my opening it, but it had been out of the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes prior to the incident. The wound was superficial, and is healing well. I have photos of the bottle, should you wish to see them. I have reported this to the manufacturer who informed me that this is not a usual happening.
