The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made May 16, 2014, sent to the company May 27, 2014, published by CPSC Jun 10, 2014

The product, in the report: This is what I used: http://corporate.hallmark.com/Multimedia/Magic-Prints-Cards

Purchased 3 Hallmark Magic Prints greetings cards for Mothers day, which come with a “Magic Mitts” solution which is reportedly “safe and non-toxic” to use on your child’s hand/foot and make a print in the card itself. The solution got on my arm, and I sustained an allergic reaction on my arm which is still slightly present today (7 days later). I contacted the company immediately to find out what the product’s ingredients list is, to determine what exactly it is I was reacting to and they have not been forthcoming. They refuse to disclose their “proprietary formula” and will only have their toxicology experts discuss with my physician. As an RN, I did not seek advanced medical care, choosing to treat myself. I only want to see the ingredients list so I can find out what I’m allergic to. I’m horrified that I used this product on my small children. They say they’re aware of rashes occurring with their product. It’s insane that they don’t have to disclose ingredients.
