The product, in the report: Toilet paper

This report documents an incident involving a consumer who discovered mold contamination in a sealed package of toilet paper. Upon realizing that the product contained visible mold, she became concerned about the potential health risks to herself and her family, as toilet paper is an essential hygiene item used daily and in close contact with the body. After identifying the contamination, she visited her local Walmart store to report the issue and seek assistance. When she presented the affected product to store personnel, the employees took the toilet paper from her and discarded it into the trash. Although the physical product is no longer in her possession, she had previously taken clear photographs documenting the mold contamination and the condition of the product at the time of discovery. The consumer states that this incident has caused her significant stress and anxiety. She is particularly concerned that exposure to mold—especially in a household product used by multiple family members—could have posed serious health risks. Mold exposure has the potential to trigger allergic reactions, respiratory issues, and illness, which has heightened her concern about what could have happened had the product been used before the contamination was discovered. Given the circumstances, the consumer is requesting compensation. Her request is based on:

The distress and inconvenience caused by the incident. The potential health risks posed to her family. The fact that the product was defective at the time of purchase. The loss of the product itself, which was discarded by store staff during her complaint process.

She is prepared to provide photographic evidence of the mold contamination to support her claim.

The product, in the report: ON 02-09-23 I purchased Charmin 4=16 Mega roll Ultra Soft at Walgreens located at [REDACTED]. The rolls had a bad odor on them a nasty oily odor. I used the first roll and I got sick and had a bad painful irritated area in the genital organs and an infection with bad odor in my genital organs too..... Also I got nausea from the bad odor of these rolls. It is truly discusting to have these toilet papers NOT being sterilized and sealed from a lab that they have been sterilized. Please push for enforcing rules where the toilet papers should be sterilized. Almost 99% of the toilet papers need to be sterilized, because they have a bad odor on them and give us infections in our genitals even sometimes the infection can go all way up to the kidneys. Also please push for rules that the manufacturers and the sellers must pay fines when they are caught conducting business with these dangerous items and we as reporters need to be rewarded too when this happens, because we are reporting these items in out free time. The package was NOT opened, or damaged when I purchased these toilet papers ...Also the package was covered with a transparent plastic bag with a part in its front in blue color with a bear(which by the way we do not even want to see such predator animals in our packages) and the UPC bar code is 03077201517.No for sure these toilet papers do not have a production date or an expiration date***please push for rules and regulations to have those dates clearly printed on our products. Please inspect the entire brand of Charmin their tel# in the back of the package is 1-800-777-1410 These are made in the USA and distributed by Procter and Gamble Cincinnati OH 45202.. This brand repeatedly has had toilet papers with BAD ODORS.Charmin as a brand is like a disaster on wheels that need to be exposed, reported and STOPPED and MUST pay fines for their damages done to the innocent population too. Enough is enough with them and all the others who do not care and are infecting and damaging the innocent population with their stinky toilet papers. YES I HAVE CALLED “Charmin” at their tel # ON THE PAST and it was several months ago when I notified them about the bad odors, but they did not care and still they do not care. Please do what is needed to be done . Thank you!

The product, in the report: Toilet Papers - Charmin

I want to know what is happening with the toilet paper. It is causing extreme itching and bleeding, especially the more expensive ones. The cheap ones are not that bad but there is a problem with all of them that didn’t used to be. Are they made in China? I called one company and was told it was probably from the trees used. I am 77 and this has never happened before and I see a lot of people are trying to find out the same thing on Google. Our TV 13 news mentioned it last night on the news but I think it is from the chemicals used. This needs to be stopped it is hurting a lot of us. She was seen by her Gyn doctor and her urologist and they said everything was ok.

It is reported that the symptoms abated after use stopped and reappeared after reintroduction. Medical conditions: MGUS; CVID; High Blood Pressure. Allergies: sulfa Drugs.
