The product, in the report: Owala FreeSip water bottle. Stamped with V-9 (special edition color drop “be kind”), purple/blue bottle with happy smiling faces, 24oz FreeSip Twist
I poured hot water into Owala freesip twist. Opening opening the top the middle ring fell off pouring hot water over me causing 2nd degree burns on my right flank from hip to shoulder. Had to visit telehealth doc who referred to a urgent care center for treatment. I believe the mechanism securing the freesip cap to the bottom is inadequate for hot drinks.
