First aid Made Feb 6, 2018, sent to the company Feb 14, 2018, published by CPSC Mar 1, 2018
The product, in the report: 16.9o.z. bottle of Coca-Cola soda. With a red color scheme. With a red ridged/serated cap.500ml.
In attempt to open a 16.9oz. bottle of Coca-Cola soda my hand was injured. I received a 1 inch laceration to the interior side of my thumb. Upon further inspection to understand how could this have happened. I noticed a design flaw. Presumably to help the thumb grab traction to open the bottle. It did quite the opposite and sliced my thumb open. It hurt tremendously, and bled more than I anticipated. After the initial cut, there was a burning sensation that lasted overnight and sensitivity that followed for days. I was unable to use my left hand for over 24 hours. Believing this to be a freak accident, I shook it off, till I opened another bottle days later. This time the cut wasn’t as bad, but partly because I was leary to be cut again. This is a design flaw. I IMAGINE OTHER HAVE BEEN INJURED TOO. This is a new design on the 16.9oz. bottle and cap. This cap design is not the same on a 20oz. bottle.
