My wife purchased an Ello 20oz Glass Spencer Water Bottle at Target to use while at the hospital for the birth of our first child. We took the bottle with us to the hospital when my wife went into labor. After our child was born and we were moved to the maternity ward, my wife drank from the bottle and thought there was sand in the water. I opened the bottle to pour out the water and my finger got cut by the broken lip of the bottle. The lip of the bottle had chipped while the cap was on, and shattered glass had fallen into the water. My wife likely consumed shards of glass and I required butterfly bandages to close the laceration on my finger.
