The product, in the report: Spray paint can, Labeled “SPRAY PAINT”, White label, 63001 Flat Black

After using 3 cans of Valspar spray paint, I suffered nerve damage to my index finger tip. The inner side of the my right hand index finger lacks sensitivity going on 1 month now. After researching online, I’ve found that hundreds of people have suffered this injury to varying degrees. Some have never gotten the feeling back in their fingers. Here is a link to the most compelling research: http://radial.wordpress.com/2007/08/04/spray-paint-numbness/#comment-4807 The spray can’s nozzle design applies concentrated force through the upper curved edges of the nozzle. The pressure damages the flesh of the fingertip internally, like a bruise. The pressure cuts off blood supply to the nerve causing damage to the cells. The spray can has no warning on it and the damage can not be felt during use. I’ve reported the issue to the company via a BBB complaint and they will not respond. BBB closed the complaint due to lack of response. I still retain the product that injured me and am willing to present it for inspection. I hope you can stop this from happening to more people. The damage has effected my ability to perform work, write, type and constantly distracts me. The Valspar Corporation can fix this issue by a simple nozzle redesign. But, chooses instead to remain silent. Thank You
