  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jun 30, 2020, sent to the company Jul 23, 2020, published by CPSC Aug 6, 2020

The product, in the report: Reddi Wip original dairy whip 6.5 ounce can

I reached in my refrigerator with my left hand to take out a can of Reddi Wip Dairy Cream in a can, the lid popped off. Then the can slipped out of my left hand, when I went to grab it the nozzle on the can went into my right hand palm and punctured my right hand palm and also cut it in two more places, coming very close to cutting my right wrist. It bled for awhile and was very painful. It took almost a week to heal and the puncture wound is still healing. I emailed the company with a picture of my hand, ([REDACTED]) about the nozzle being very sharp, and their response was they would send it to their Food Safety and Quality experts and they would send me coupons. My case number is [REDACTED]. I sent back an email saying I did not want coupons, I just wanted them to look into the fact the nozzle of their can was very sharp and hope that they would change it for the safety of all consumers. They sent back back to me samples are run from each production and evaluated before shipment. I tried to call the company at 1 877 266 2472 on June 29, unless you know who to ask for the system hangs up on you. The emails are from a person named [REDACTED], I feel that it is being swept under the rug. I would like to talk to a person at the company to let them know that I was lucky that the plastic nozzle did not slit my wrist, the puncture wound was very painful! I would not have dreamed that a plastic nozzle could be dangerous on a can of whipping cream. product code-7027223202 2247013220B0224 best used by dec 07 2020 Case number [REDACTED] No where on the can does it state that the nozzle is sharp. Thank you for any help.
