The product, in the report: The Amazon listing is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZ6Y95DF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Kids Bath Bombs Powder with Mini Unicorn Inside Bubble Bath for Kids Bathtime Experiment Kit Mix - Blast of Foam & Colour Surprise Gift Set of 4
I purchased these kids bath potions (like bath bombs but in a plastic bottle) from Amazon. One of the bottle caps exploded while I was opening it for my kids. It was like being shot in the finger with a BB gun. Thankfully it just got my finger. My finger is still swollen 5 days later. Thank goodness it was me opening it and not a kid. This could have blinded a child. I have also emailed the manufacturer to report this. I assume a small amount of moisture got in and it was releasing gas and the bottle while in transit.
Interestingly I got a recall notice for a different brand of bath potion this week from Amazon. I think this format of bottles with bath bomb powder in is just a bad idea.

To ensure I answer all the necessary points: What happened that made you want to report? Bottle cap exploded off when I was trying to open it. What type of product(s) were being used? Kids bath potion by ‘ZenseMe’ brand Who was using the product(s)? Adult opening it for 2 kids (aged 2yrs and 5 yrs). How were the product(s) being used? We has just got the products out the box, and I was opening for my kids. I had not introduced any water to the bath potion yet as they were sealed/closed - the foil seal was still in place and that’s what exploded off as I unscrewed the other cap. Were there any injuries that happened or may have happened while using the product? My right middle finger was impacted by the explosion - it was like being shot with a BB gun, and there are little red marks on my finger where bits of bath potion powder were forced into my skin like shotgun pellets by the force of the explosion. Again very thankful I was the one opening these not my kids. How did any injuries occur? To my finger as described above. But if a kid was opening this close to thier face they could have had a lot of damage to their eye.
