Made Nov 20, 2018, sent to the company Jan 29, 2019, published by CPSC Feb 12, 2019

The product, in the report: NeilMed Sinus Rinse kit. Includes one plastic squeeze bottle and 50 Premixed packets of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate mixture.

I have been using a sinus rinse devise called NeilMed Sinus Rinse for over a year without incident. It is labeled “Safe for Microwave Disinfection” and I have been using this method to disinfect. I recently bought a new replacement squeeze bottle as the manufacturer recommends regular replacement of the squeeze bottle. After the first use of the new squeeze bottle I placed it in the microwave as I have been doing for over a year and within 20 seconds the plastic squeeze bottle caught fire inside the microwave.
