How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 1 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 31, 2025, sent to the company Apr 3, 2025, published by CPSC Apr 17, 2025

The product, in the report: It is small plastic container of lemon juice with a plastic top. You can see in the photo I uploaded the bottle, the cap that broke when I tried to open it, and the tip of the toothpick in the top that broke off when I tried to puncture the hole. The toothpick nearly went into my hand - it still hurts where my hand was jabbed.

I had purchased Concord Foods Lemon Juice. On 3/17/25 I tried to open it up and could not. I nearly sliced my hand trying to open the bottle. It is sealed with a hard wax across the opening, and the cap is not removable. There are no instructions for how to open to the bottle, nor any tool supplied to open it. It is a narrow hole in the cap, and I have nothing to use that fits the hole. The product is unsafe because of defective packaging - the plastic is too hard, the hole too small, and the cap cannot be unscrewed to get at the product inside.
