The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made May 2, 2011, published by CPSC Jun 22, 2011

The product, in the report: SinuCleanse Kids Mist for Infants to 12 years old.

I was using SinuCleanse Kids Mist on my ten-month-old son and I squirted it into one nostril while he was laying in my arms and saw a flash of something but figured it was mucus or a snot bubble from the spray. He noticed it too and swiped. I went to spray the other nostril and realized the nozzle was no longer connected to the support arm but upon further inspection realized the little piece of plastic had completely snapped off.

I was putting him down for a nap and, if this had happened on the second nostril rather than the first, I probably would have put him in his crib with this perfect-choking sized piece of plastic.

It still upsets me a day later. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.
