The product, in the report: Rubbermaid snap lock lid plastic container 2 cup size with an orange lid
We have cared for a woman who was burned when using Rubbermaid storage container. She placed some brown sugar in the bowl and microwaved for about 15 seconds. While removing the container, the bottom melted out onto her finger, causing a third degree burn which required a surgery (skin graft). The container is a TakeAlongs® 2 cup size. The product is rated as microwave safe according to the Rubbermaid web site.
