No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 12, 2026, sent to the company Aug 20, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 4, 2026
The product, in the report: R32 [REDACTED] 20lb jug (Difloromethane)
HVAC and refrigeration technicians are now using A2L [REDACTED] (R32 & R 454) which is slightly flamible. The manufacturers have placed reverse thread valves on the service bottles. In the past when [REDACTED] was not flamible a plastic cap was supplied that would seal the jug in case of a leaky valve or it got accidentally knocked open. Not so with the New [REDACTED], if one has a jug leak from the valve their standard 1/4 flare valve caps will not work. If there is a leaky jug, not quick way to cap it. i FEEL THIS IS DANGEROUS and accidents will happen
