The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Jun 19, 2023, sent to the company Jun 21, 2023, published by CPSC Jul 6, 2023

The product, in the report: It was a 16.9 fl oz bottle of Dasani water. Green top, Green Safety Ring, and blue and white label.

My husband was drinking a bottle of Dasani Water (Coca Cola Company) and the plastic safety ring came off and went down his throat. He could not breath and was choking for several minutes. He had to put his fingers down his throat to try and find the ring to get it out. He was unable to get it out himself, while his wife ran to get medical help, a friend assisted in trying to locate the ring by putting her fingers into his throat. She was able to get to it and he was able to get it out the rest of the way on his own. He had petechial hemorrhaging around his eyes and damage to his throat from the plastic ring, and from vomiting by trying to get the ring out with fingers.
