The product, in the report: Iron Flamingo, India Pale Ale (IPA), beer Iron Flamingo Brewery, 196 Baker Street, Corning , NY IronFlamingoBrewery.com Model N/A UPC 040232218705
I purchased a six pack of bottled beer, Iron Flamingo IPA, from Iron Flamingo Brewery, Corning NY at a local store in Canandaigua, NY on the afternoon of Monday, September 28,2020. The beer was stored in the refrigerator at the store. The beer was in my car for less than 45 minutes before being transferred to the refrigerator in my home kitchen. The product was never shaken or dropped.
About two hours later I took two of the beers out. I opened one and it immediately fizzed over. I was unable to drink it due to the excess carbonation. I poured that beer out. About an hour later, I unfortunately returned the other bottle to the refrigerator into the cardboard six pack box. About 5 minutes later while still in the kitchen I heard an explosion in the refrigerator. I found that the bottle had burst at its base and was propelled like a rocket into the glass shelf less than an inch above. The tempered glass of the shelf had shattered and there was glass and beer all over the inside of the refrigerator and over the food. If this had happened while it was in my hand or with the refrigerator open, I suspect I would have been seriously harmed.
