The product, in the report: REDKEN GUTS 10 volume spray foam silver can net weight 0.58 ounces circa 10” high

A REDKEN GUTS 10 volume spray foam mousse metal container exploded inside my bathroom closet on June 9, 2016. The noise was tremendous, much like a shotgun blast. I searched inside the closet and found that the REDKEN container had burst its top and sent the top and contents of the container spewing throughout the closet. Luckily, I was in a corner of the bathroom not in a direct line with the closet door opening. I understand now that the product had been recalled, but I never received a notification. Net Weight: 10.58 ounce. Manufacturer’s code: GY253C.

The product, in the report: Redken GUTS volume boosting spray foam in pressurized aluminum can. Manf numbers from bottom of can EV166C 1059

We had a Redken aluminum container of their product GUTS in the closet. Last evening we heard a large boom, sounded like a high speed colision of two cars outside. Later in the evening I found debris in the closet and noticed the container had failed violently.

I have photos and the debis for your review. The manner the can failed would have caused serious injury or death had a person been using the container at the time of failure
