How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 1 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: 12 ounce can

I bought a 12-pack of Diet Pepsi on 6/29/15. I opened the pack to put some in the refrigerator. When I touched two cans with my finger, the side of the can blew out (not the seam, but the whole side of the can). This made a mess, and with six inches of sharp metal, could be dangerous. Google shows a young boy who had this same thing happen, and the pictures are terrible how he was severely injured. ALL these cans should be IMMEDIATELY removed from store shelves before more people get hurt. Thank you.

I tried to fill out the comment form on Pepsi’s website, and after completing several pages of information, there was no way to ‘send’ the complaint. Not very effective.
