Emergency room Made Mar 3, 2017, sent to the company Mar 20, 2017, published by CPSC Apr 3, 2017
The product, in the report: Juanita’s Foods Estilo Casero Menudo Menudito Metal can with metal lid with tab NET WEIGHT/PESO NETO 25 OZ (1 LB 9 OZ) 709 grams
I lacerated my small finger on my right hand while opening a can of soup. The can label has written “EASY OPEN LID!” however it was very difficult to open. There was a pull tab on the top. After lifting the tab, I then proceeded to pull the tab hard since it would not open, it jerked and the metal lid popped off with very great force lacerating my finger. Since the bleeding would not stop, I needed to go the emergency room.
