The product, in the report: Hard Plastic Blister Pack, on OTC antihistamine
Caller purchased two packages of twelve to each pack of an an allergy medicine around March 2nd, 2012. He and his wife both attempted to open the blister pack but could not, they finally got a knife and opened but are afraid of opening these packages this way for fear of becoming injured.
Caller states that he has nearly cut his fingers with the penknife he has had to usedpreviously, and packaging should be easy for consumers to use the product.
He would like the blister packs to be tested by CPSC in the way that they distribute them to members around a table and let them try to open. Consumer Added: There is no way the individual perforated packets can be opened by pressing the tablet through the backing material. In fact, they recommend using a scissors which in turn did not cut throught the plastic. It had to be punctured!! That’s the FDA requirement? I don’t think so. Distributor is Perrigo out of Allegan, MI. Manufacturered in Israel.
