The product, in the report: Marie Callender’s frozen Large Chicken Pot Pie
I was cooking a Marie Callender’s Large Chicken Pot Pie in my microwave when it caught fire. I’d followed the directions on the box including taking the top of the box off completely, left pie in box, set it for 8 1/2 minutes, but at about 5 minutes saw flames coming out of the corner of the box (shot up maybe 3-4 inches). I was able to take a towel and snuff out the flames, then removed the product from the microwave. Kitchen was smokey, microwave turntable was blackened in one spot under flames. I’ve kept the pie (re-froze partially cooked pie) as well as all of the packaging from the box.
