The product, in the report: Glass food storage containers
We have had two instances of glass shards being found in our food...actually in my mouth while eating from a Glasslock container. The containers chip at the edge where the lid attaches and the chips or shards fall into the containers.

The product, in the report: Glasslock food storage containers
Glasslock food storage containers bought at Costco chip resulting in small glass chips getting into food. The snap-on lids cause the glass around the rim to chip. The product comes in a number of sizes which stack for storage. The small chips and shavings end up in the bottom of the next bowl down and may not be noticed when food is added for storage.

No one hurt Made Nov 5, 2013, sent to the company Nov 14, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 6, 2013
The product, in the report: GlassLock Clean & Fresh large rectangle glass container
I retrieved a GlassLock storage container from my cabinet to pack my lunch. This set of GlassLock comes as a set with a few different sizes and shapes that nest together and was purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond in December 2012. The small rectangle glass container was nested inside the large rectangle glass container. Due to poor dimensional design, the small container became wedged and bound diagonally ajar inside the larger container. In trying to gently separate the two, the larger container EXPLODED on the counter sending glass shards everywhere. As a design engineer, I can say this is truly a poorly designed product that did not leave adequate clearance between the nested containers to prevent this foreseeable failure. Due to the force with which the container exploded, I consider myself incredibly fortunate that I was only covered in small glass fragments and did not sustain injury.
