  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jul 27, 2015, sent to the company Aug 4, 2015, published by CPSC Aug 18, 2015

The product, in the report: Bargain buys, hand and face wipes in a small travel container with a white body and blue lid which has extremely rigid and sharp teeth.

A container of hand wipes distributed by Kingsbridge International Inc. stock number 44345-WL. I was feeding the wipes through the lid after I just opened it so I could close the cap and put it away. To feed the wipes through the lid you have to grab one end of the roll and push it through a small hole with teeth. As I did this the teeth were so hard that my thumb got stuck by the frictiction and as I tried to put my thumb back out the teeth started digging through my skin. I tried everything to get it out but they wouldn’t budge without me peeling skin off my thumb! My thumb was quickly swelling so I ran to the kitchen to cut it out. I couldn’t cut it out very well without risking slicing my thumb so luckily the [REDACTED] man came by and I had to run out and have him cut me out of it. My thumb is purple, swollen and has puncture marks from the where the teeth held my thumb in. This is not a normal hand wipes container!
