The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Sixteen ounce stein, white, metal lid, metal ring around the top and bottom.

I purchased a Stanley 16 oz stein to use on a cruise. On the cruise, the first time using it, I filled it with a cold beer at the pool. I let the stein sit next to me for about fifteen minutes before I took my first drink. Upon taking the drink, I burned my lower lip on the metal ring that goes around the top of the stein. I further noticed the lid that flips open was also extremely hot.

The product, in the report: 5 Stanleys: three 40 oz, light blue, eucalyptus green, and white, two smaller stanleys: light blue and green

I own five Stanley cups, using one of them every single day for the past 2 1/2 years. I recently heard that Stanleys may contain led in them, leading my roommate and I to order lead testers on [REDACTED] to test our cups. After testing the cups, all but one of them came back with a large amount of lead detected, basing the amount on the color of the swabs after wiping them on the cups. I am very concerned because I have been having chest pain and stomach issues, leading me to have an endoscopy done. I an very concerned and would like refunds at the least.

The product, in the report: Stanley water bottle

Why dont you do something about the Stanley water bottles? A mandatory recall? Yes, I have heard what the experts, especially the company itself, has said anout how....well....the bottles are safe as long as the bottle isnt severely compromised. That is disingenuous and ignores the reality of our world. Yes, in a “perfect world” the bottles pose minimal hazard if the bottle hasn’t been compromised. But that ignores the fact that we don’t live in a perfect world. How many times has a consumer bought a brand new car and gotten a lemon. Or a manufacturer has a manufacturing problem and....a doir plug goes flying off a plane in flight. Or faulty air bag initiators get installed in cars, blow up, and people are injured or killed by shrapnel. Remember those stories. We live in a world where parts used can be defective. Or the manufacturing process screws up. Why take any chances with peoples health? Or Stanley to recall all Stanley water bottles and stop selling them until they get the lead out of their product.

After hand washing per the manufacturer my Stanley/PMI Model 20-00717 One Hand Vacuum Mug while wiping off to dry the stopper assembly I observed coffee dripping from the assembly it was seeping out from the plastic seam of the assembly. Coffee had entered the assembly through this seam and was now leaking back out from it. The entry of food in this case my coffee poses the risk of bacterial growth inside the assembly and possible illness or death due to said illness to the consumer.
