The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Apr 29, 2022, sent to the company May 6, 2022, published by CPSC May 20, 2022

The product, in the report: Hydro flask 32 oz Wide Mouth Water bottles- 2. One is pink and one is green. They have black screw- on lids and are only used to carry hot water for tea and coffee. I never drink from them.

Hydro flask Company is a manufacturer of stainless steel water bottles that are supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I own 2, 32 oz Wide Mouth bottles that are starting to rust on the bottom right where the bottom seams indent. Upon calling the company, they basically refused to refund or replace the bottles even though they cost $50.00 apiece, and claim to be very durable. The warranty is out of Switzerland and though the company is US based, the warranty is not. The company is making defective unsafe products and is not doing anything to remedy the situation. Rust is a toxic substance.

The product, in the report: Hydro flask water bottle with straw The ASIN is B07DP5PNG5

I was drinking out of a “hydro flask” water bottle that has a straw. Part of the straw’s piece it detachable and it came off. I could have choked (and I could see a child choking on it as well). I checked my other hydro flask water bottle and it presented the same choking hazard. I have photographs if I’m able to send them.
