Hurt, no treatment Made Aug 14, 2026, sent to the company Aug 18, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 10, 2026
The product, in the report: MaxKare Ultra Soft Heating Pad with 4 Heat Settings & Auto Shut-off for Full Body Stress Relief, 24”x33” - sold on walmart.com by heitingpai
We originally purchased this heating pad in Nov 2024, and this product failed in Aug 2025 - the disc that attaches the wires to the heating pad came loose exposing hot wires. The seller promptly replaced it. Then the replacement had the same issue in March 2026. Initially they claimed they no longer carry the product, but when I pointed out, it is still for sale by them on walmart.com, they sent a replacement. This replacement has now failed only 4 months later. We have only experienced minor burns as we identified the issue and stopped using it.
