The product, in the report: Eight Sleep Pod3 Model: 10503 Serial Number: 0001D840
On the night of December 24th around 11:30pm, my husband woke me up urgently to bring to my attention the intense burning smell in the room. We rose to action and started checking any potential hazards in the bedroom. It did not take long for us to identify that it was coming from the tank of our Eight Sleep that sits on the floor near the side of our bed. It smelled like the circuit board was smoking. Im extremely thankful that my husband woke up before we had a fire on our hands. He quickly disconnected the unit and carried it outside. As you can imagine, this left us very unsettled.
To provide more details:
Model: 10503 Serial Number: 0001D840 Please note: This unit was already a replacement for our original [REDACTED] system, which had ceased heating/cooling on one side and stopped tracking sleep data.
As stated, the hub was taken outside and has not yet been opened to investigate the cause of the hazard as of this morning. With the Christmas holiday and our lack of sleep, we have not made it that far, nor did we want to compromise any evidence of the reported incident.
