WHILE USING THE DRYER LAST NIGHT, WE HAD BEEN NOTICING THAT THE DRYER WOULD ROUTINELY STOP BEFORE THE CYCLE WAS COMPLETE, WE CLEANED THE LINT SCREEN, CLEANED THE VENTS AND NO OBVIOS OBSTRUCTION WAS FOUND. HALF WAY INTO THE CYCLE THE DRYER BECAME EXTREMELY HOT TO THE TOUCH ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DRYER, IT BEGAN TO SMOKE A LIGHT GREY ACIDIC SMELL. WE UNPLUGGED THE DRYER AND THE SMELL PERSISTED. IT APPEARS THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS OF THE DRYER HAVE BURNED UP. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DANGER AS HAD WE NOT BEEN HOME THIS COULD HAVE STARTED A FIRE THAT COULD HAVE SPREAD INTO THE HOME. THIS REPORT IS SIMILAR TO ANOTHER ON THIS POSTING. THE DRYER IS LESS THEN 5 YEARS OLD
