The short answer
Record last released by Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing on Oct 23, 2026.
Each figure’s source sits beside it, in its section below.
What these words mean4
- Inspection (survey)
- A visit by state inspectors, often unannounced, who check a place against the rules it must meet. For nursing homes and other places Medicare pays, CMS calls these visits surveys: a standard survey of a nursing home comes at least every 15 months, and a complaint survey whenever a complaint calls for one. Source: CMS; 42 CFR 488.308.
- Deficiency, citation, violation
- What inspectors write up when a place didn’t meet a rule: the rule, what they saw, and when. CMS calls it a deficiency; states may say citation or violation. It is the inspectors’ finding, not a court’s, and the place is usually asked for a plan to correct it. Source: CMS, statement of deficiencies (Form CMS-2567); each state’s licensing agency.
- Licence status
- Whether the state’s licence lets the place operate now, in the state’s own words: licensed, on probation (allowed to keep operating on conditions, after problems), provisional, pending or expired. Source: Each state’s licensing agency.
- Capacity
- The most people the licence or certification lets the place care for at once: residents, children, beds or apartments, as the state counts them. It isn’t how many are there now. Source: Each state’s licensing agency.

| Date | What | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 14, 2026 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | On September 11, 2026, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding not storing trash securely and lack of respectful communication. An investigation was conducted on September 29, 2026. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint because staff interviewed stated they do not leave trash lying outside, and if it does blow out of the can, they clean it up. Additionally, trash cans were observed outside with lids on and trash secured, aside from the soaked cardboard waiting to dry to be cleaned up. Lastly, Owner #1 denied yelling at anyone who expressed concern over the center trash. |
| Jul 28, 2026 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | On June 26, 2026, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding positive behavior supports and staff communication. An investigation was conducted on July 7, 2026. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint because all staff interviewed denied having heard staff yell at children or talk rudely about children with other staff. |
| Feb 3, 2026 | OCCL Standards Complaint: Substantiated | On January 6, 2026, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding not keeping the center hazard-free and safe and accident/injury procedures. An investigation was conducted on January 14, 2026. This complaint is substantiated for not keeping the center hazard-free and safe, because according to staff interviewed, the head of a screw was left in the wall where children are cared for. The screw was at a height to be accessible by children and subsequently caused an injury. There is no evidence to substantiate the complaint for accident/injury reports, because according to staff interviewed and all documentation reviewed, both parents were called immediately. One of the phone numbers was not in service and a voicemail was left for the other. Immediate contact to the parents were also observed in Brightwheel. |
| Jun 5, 2024 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | On May 22, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding staff using a drug that could adversely affect their job functions and positive behavior supports. An investigation was conducted on May 23, 2024. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint because six out of seven staff interviewed denied smelling marijuana on staff recently. One staff person stated there was an odor of marijuana on staff within the previous month or two; however, those staff denied having ever smoking marijuana prior to coming into work. Regarding the allegation of cursing in front of children, all staff interviewed denied cursing themselves or hearing other staff cursing in front of children. |

What the record doesn’t say
- Delaware doesn’t grade violations by severity, so read what was cited.
- Delaware’s open data lists a visit only when a violation was cited there, so visits that found nothing aren’t shown.
- Delaware publishes five years of reviews and complaints; this page shows the last three.
- Delaware doesn’t publish staffing levels or owners for individual providers.
- Delaware lists only the visits that found violations, so a provider with none listed may not have been visited at all: no count of violations is used to headline, filter or compare its providers.
