The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Yardley Lemon Verbena Bar Soap.

Within seconds of using Yardley of London’s Lemon Verbena Soap with Shea Butter and Essential Oils for the first time, my daughter developed a systemic allergic reaction: swelling of the hands and feet, hives, swelling of the nasal passages, shortness of breath, numbness and tingling of the palms of the hands, and nausea. We began treating immediately with [REDACTED] and continued to do so on her doctor’s advice every four hours as the symptoms returned. The ingredients list on the soap box does not specify which essential oils are included in the soap, nor does it specify the chemical makeup of the perfume used in the soap.
