The product, in the report: Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Hand Soap Lemon Verbena scent 12.5 FL oz UPC 0812412104
I was opening the bottle of hand soap for the first time. To open the arrow directs you to turn the pump until it pops up for future use. In this case when the pump popped up a blob of soap came flying up & landed in my left eye causing excruciating pain. I immediately flushed with water & continued for 15 minutes. My husband called poison control. When the pain persisted for more than an hour poison control advised me to see the Ophthalmologist. The Ophthalmologist conducted tests & examined my eyes. He concluded my eye suffered from a chemical burn from the soap. He prescribed 2 types of drops to be used 5 times daily for 7 days.
