The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Ivory Soap 3-Pack

I was injured while showering, with a bar of Ivory Soap by a foreign, near razor sharp fragment of metal, protruding from within a newly opened bar. I was washing my body with the soap bar in my hand when I noticed blood and felt stinging pain. The metal fragment was stIckIng out of the soap after the bar started to melt away as a result of my rubbing the bar on my skin to wash. The metal fragment appears to be molded into the entire mIddle of the bar. Before I was actually aware of what was happening, I had several scratches and some rather deep lacerations on a large portion of my chest, arms and legs requiring medIcal attention.
