The product, in the report: StarCraft Swing Away Heat Press, teal colored, 15 inches x 15 inches.
I own a StarCraft Swing Away Heat Press, which was purchased in June 2020. This item is long out of warranty and is no longer being manufactured. Last night, it fell apart while I was using it. The top platen just fell off. It was hot at 350 F, and the top platen is pretty heavy so this posed a risk of serious burns and crush injuries. I was not hurt. The wing nuts remain tight and intact because I never remove the platen to switch accessories. I reached out to the seller, Swing Design, and their response was less than satisfactory. I have reached out to the manufacturer, StarCraft, but I have not received a response yet. As I do not feel like I am being heard, I decided it was time to notify the CPSC.
