Hurt, care not known Made Mar 6, 2012, sent to the company Mar 14, 2012, published by CPSC Apr 4, 2012
The product, in the report: Speedball Arts Speedy Kids Washable Fingerpaint, Purple Grape, 16 oz
We purchased 4 16 oz tubs of Speedball “Speedy Kids” Washable Fingerpaint in fall 2010 at Pearl Art in San Francisco when the store was going out of business. We didn’t open the paints until today. Three tubs were sealed with a double-layer seal imprinted with the words “sealed for freshness.” Those three tubs were fine. The fourth was sealed only with a thin foil seal. The paint was chunky and had a foul odor than made us nauseated quickly (both my 4-year-old daughter and me). We closed it back up and decided we would not use it at all.
I have also reported this to the manufacturer, Speedball Arts.
