The easel as assembled per instructions has a child hazard, two dangerous “pinch points”.
A child could lift the tray which widens the gap between the easel (white board and chalkboard) and the tray itself. This allows a child to put a hand in the gap such that when the tray resumes its normal position, the child’s hand is “pinched”.
