The product, in the report: Cra-Z-Art My look Color Change Window Art Target link: https://www.target.com/p/my-look-color-change-window-art-by-cra-z-art/-/A-76623847
Dear CPSC, I have twin girls age 8 (they will be 9 in September of this year). The product that was gifted to them from my sister and purchased at Target can be found through the following link https://www.target.com/p/my-look-color-change-window-art-by-cra-z-art/-/A-76623847 and it’s for ages 6+ There is a stopper in each of the six window paints. This stopper pops up under compression (the only way to remove the stopper) and splattered paint at a heavy force all over one my daughter’s face. As she went to wash her face off and while in the shower the other twin handled another window paint and tried to remove the stopper by using the paint brush included in the kit, through adding pressure from the paint brush she that stopper released and popped right into her eye. It then forcefully ejected paint into her eye shutting her eye filled with paint. She cried hysterically in pain. My brother in law is an ER physician and I contacted him immediately. We then contacted poison control. My daughter had to irrigate her eyes for 15 minutes. That was the first two paints. I saw there were four paints left. I looked at each one; they all had stoppers in them. I tried removing the stopper and there is no way to remove them without compressing the paint out but when you do the stopper forcefully ejects with paint. The reality is kids will look at it and try to pull them out and they can’t pull them out when they do it ejects out forcefully. The only safe way to do this is to make sure the paint isn’t facing you; grab a cup and push the stopper out with a cup. That’s what I had to do with each of them and I only knew to do this after hearing from kids what happened and being cautious of not facing the paint towards me. This item is extremely dangerous for children. It will easily injure a child’s eye. Please recall this item immediately and don’t wait for a child to lose their eye.
