The product, in the report: “Spy Net Night Vision Infrared Stealth Binoculars” manufactured by JAKKS Pacific model # 18738
I have a safety concern about “Spy Net Night Vision Infrared Stealth Binoculars” manufactured by JAKKS Pacific model # 18738
My wife and I were checking on our sleeping son before we went to bed. He had fallen asleep with the toy’s lanyard around his neck. Although the lanyard has a breakaway link, it had twisted around itself ahead of the link rendering it useless. It took considerable effort to untwist the lanyard. I cringe when I think of the morning we could have awaken to had we not discovered this incident. I hope by reporting this, I can save a parent from a terrible tragedy. I have removed the lanyard from this toy as I believe it is dangerous and unnecessary. I recommend the manufacture put out a recall notice immediately to take the same action.
