The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Soft fabric baby book from the brand Spark Create Imagine. The book is made of cloth fabric with soft padding inside. It is small and lightweight, measuring approximately 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in) when closed, and about 23 cm (1 in) thick. It has a sewn-in fabric tag/label on the side, plus an extra adhesive label placed over the original fabric tag (this is the label that came loose).

We purchased two small books from the brand Spark for our baby (7 months old), and both of them came with an extra sticker label placed over the original product label. On one of the books, this extra sticker came loose while our daughter was playing, and she swallowed it. She choked on the sticker, and we had to perform the choking rescue maneuver. Thankfully, our daughter is now fine, and the sticker later passed in her stool. However, this could have been much worse if the sticker had remained stuck in her throat. I am attaching a photo of the sticker from the second book (which has not detached) to show what the label looks like.
