The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: “Squishy Turtle and Friends”

I recently learned that “Big Rex and Friends” cloth book was recalled in January 2010. I own that book as well as the other three books in that “series”: “Fluffy Chick and Friends”, “Fuzzy Bee and Friends” and “Squishy Turtle and Friends.”

In light of the recall of “Big Rex and Friends,” I began to look online to see if any of the other three books had been tested for toxicity and/or recalled. Disturbingly, I discovered that <healthystuff.org> had tested “Squishy Turtle and Friends” and had found high levels of toxic substances. However, I could not find any information anywhere indicating that the book had been recalled.

    Here is the report: <http://www.healthystuff.org/product.details.php?bcmode=search&getrecno=1103>

Based on this report, I believe that “Squishy Turtle and Friends” should be recalled.

Furthermore, in light of the documented toxicity of “Big Rex and Friends” and “Squishy Turtle and Friends,” the other two books in this series, “Fluffy Chick and Friends” and “Fuzzy Bee and Friends,” should be rigorously tested to determine whether they contain any toxic materials.
