How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 1 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 15, 2011, sent to the company Oct 24, 2011, published by CPSC Nov 7, 2011

The product, in the report: Kushies Zolo Libro coco cat, model 80026. Multi-sensory activity book. Includes a squishy aquarium, Sound element and mirror, and Stimulating touch and feel pages squeeze to hear Coco meow, unique mirror with pretend cat nose feature. Zolo signature clip included for easy attachment. (from vendor web site) http://www.kushies.com/Catalogue/zolo_toys/zolo_toys5.html

The product is a toy book with soft covers and an open plastic ring. The plastic ring is used to attach the book to another device, such as a book bag or a play gym. In this case, within an hour of using the toy for the first time, the ring snapped apart into three pieces. I took pictures - the ring is made up of three parts, two of which are small enough for a child to choke on.
